Recycling Your Plastic Bottle
A bottle is a cylindrical, slim-bodied container typically made of glass or plastic that contains a liquid and whose neck is narrow enough to prevent spillage and that has an upper neck line extending above the label. A bottle is also known as a bottleneck or bottlebrush, since the term neck refers to the space between the neck of the bottle and its closed or open top. A bottle’s label is usually sewn to the bottle’s upper side, but some bottles have separate labels. A bottle’s body is generally hollow, although in some styles the body may be made of steel or other metal and covered with felt or cloth. A bottle’s neckline, which connects the neck of the bottle to the top of the bottle, can be capped (stoppered) with an external bottle cap, an inner bottle stopper, a closure, magnetic or electronic seals, or a mechanical “pinion” seal.
Plastic bottles, often called water bottles, are cylindrical containers made of a wide range of materials. Water bottles can also be made of glass or polycarbonate. Plastic bottles are commonly used as containers for food, but they are also widely used as bottle containers for other liquids because of their superior resilience to light, air and heat. Plastic bottles are typically made of low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, or polystyrene, although the composition of some plastics differs depending on the manufacturer.
Hot water bottles are cylindrical, airtight and self-rimming, with a wide mouth that’s capable of leaking. Most hot water bottles have a rubber stopper that seals the bottle’s mouth. The most common types of hot water bottle are those made of glass and polycarbonate, which are made to withstand high pressures while maintaining adequate heat transfer through the bottle’s body. Plastic hot water bottles are a popular variety of hot water bottle, especially those that are molded into various designs. Some people prefer plastic over glass or polycarbonate because of its better resistance to scratches and breakage. Both types of hot water bottles are available in both low and high pressure versions, which allow users to choose the right one for their needs.
Bottles made of nylon are another popular type of bottle. Nylon bottles are also resistant to scratching and crushing and can usually withstand very high pressures. These soft drinks bottle come in two major varieties: nylon cap and soft case design. Nylon cap bottles are usually capped with hard polycarbonate or stainless steel stoppers. While the caps look like real glasses, the stoppers are made of rubber to prevent leaching and corrosion of the contents inside.
Tumblers are long, narrow plastic bottles that are considered a convenience device. Tumblers, however, are also the most common type of bottle used as a container for soft drinks. Tumblers have many different types of containers, depending on their design. A small tumbler can actually be placed under a table as its name suggests. Other tumbler designs, on the other hand, are intended to be carried around and used as an exterior bottle.
Glass is still one of the best options when it comes to recycling bottles. As it is lightweight, recyclable glass can actually be easily transported to local refineries for reprocessing. There are actually several companies out there that specialize in breaking down glass to make it suitable for recycling. These companies require suppliers to properly dispose of the glass after they receive it from their clients. The majority of recycling companies also offer the services of securely storing your recyclables to ensure that they are safe from theft or damage during transport.
